Every MAISON METZGER piece is rooted in European textile excellence. We select premium Italian fabrics woven by the historic mill Carlo Bassetti, established in 1875 and renowned for its responsible sourcing and GOTS-certified cotton production. These materials are chosen for their refined hand feel, durability, breathability, and timeless aesthetic. Tailoring takes place in Portugal with expert cutters and seamstresses, ensuring not just quality but consistency across our collections.

  1. Machine wash cold (30 °C / 86 °F) on a gentle cycle.
  2. Turn items inside out before washing to protect fabric and details.
  3. Use mild detergent — avoid bleach or fabric softeners.
  4. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat only.
  5. For shirts, iron on low to medium heat; if present, press collars and cuffs first for a crisp finish.

Proper care maintains both performance and longevity, keeping the integrity of the fibers and fit intact.

Orders & Shipping

When will I receive my order?

  • Orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Basel, Switzerland within 24–48 hours (business days).
  • Transit time starts from the shipping date, not the order date.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
  • Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Tracking may be included where available.

What are the shipping costs?

Costs (Switzerland)

  • Free shipping on orders over CHF 100
  • CHF 10 shipping fee for orders below CHF 100

International shipping

  • Shipping fees vary by destination and are shown at checkout.

How to start a return?

You can request a return either via the Shopify self-service portal in your account or by emailing shop@maison-metzger.com with your order number and the items you want to return.

When can an item be returned?

You have 30 days from delivery to request a return for most products. The items must be unworn, unused, with original tags and packaging, and include proof of purchase.

What items are not refundable?

Certain products cannot be returned, including sale items, personalized/custom products, and gift cards (gift cards aren’t refundable).

How are refunds issued and how long do they take?

Once your return is received and inspected, you’ll be notified by email. Default refunds are issued as store credit/vouchers. If you prefer a refund to your original payment method, you can request this via email. Approved refunds are typically processed within about 10 business days after approval.
